Igor V. Zyuzin

Chief Executive Officer and Director

Igor V. Zyuzin is our Chief Executive Officer and Director. He has held this position since December 2006. Since March 2003, when Mechel was organized. Mr. Zyuzin served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors. He served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Southern Kuzbass Coal Company, a position Mr. Zyuzin has held since May 1999. From 1997 to 1999, Mr. Zyuzin was the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mezhdurechensk Coal Company, which was merged into Southern Kuzbass Coal Company, and a member of the Board of Directors of Kuzbass Central Processing Plant. Mr. Zyuzin holds a doctorate in coal mining and is also a certified coal mining engineering economist.

Alexey G. Ivanushkin

Chief Operating Officer

Alexey G. Ivanushkin is our Chief Operating Officer and a member of our Board of Directors. He has served as Chief Operating Officer since January 2004 and as a member of our Board of Directors since March 2003. Mr. Ivanushkin served as our Chief Executive Officer from March 2003 until January 2004. Mr. Ivanushkin also serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of our Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant, a position he has held since June 2002, and has served as acting General Director of Southern Kuzbass Coal Company since June 2004. From December 1999 to April 2002, Mr. Ivanushkin served as the General Director of our Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant. From 1993 to November 1999, he was the director of the ferrous metals and ferroalloy department of the Moscow office of Glencore International AG, an international diversified natural resources group from whom we acquired Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant. From 1984 to 1992, he worked as an economist with various import-export organizations under the Ministry of Foreign Commerce and the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations of the Soviet Union. Mr. Ivanushkin graduated from the Moscow State University of Foreign Relations (MGIMO) with a degree in economics and international affairs.

Vladimir A. Polin

Chief Executive Officer of Mechel Management Company OOO

Vladimir A. Polin is Chief Executive Officer of Mechel Management Company OOO from June 2006. From July 2003 to June 2006, he was Senior Vice President-Production of Mechel OAO. From July 2002 until June 2003, Mr. Polin served as the Executive Director-First Deputy General Director of our Beloretsk Metallurgical Plant. Mr. Polin has almost 20 years of floor and management experience in the manufacture and marketing of steel products, and holds a degree in metallurgy from Chelyabinsk Polytechnic University.

Mukhamed M. Tsikanov

Senior Vice President on Economics and Management

Mukhamed Tsikanov is our Senior Vice President on Economics and Management. Previously, he was Acting General Director of Mechel’s Yakutugol OJSHC from October 2007 to January 2008. Prior to this, Mr. Tsikanov was General Director of Elgaugol OAO from 2005 to 2007. From 2004 to 2005 he was Senior Vice President of Yukos-Moscow OOO. From 1993 to 2005, he held various positions in the government agencies, including: Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation, from 2000 to 2004; Deputy Minister of Economy of the Russian Federation, from 1997 to 2000; First Deputy Head of the Administrative Program for Economy Stabilization and Development of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic from January to August 1997; and Minister of Economy of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic from 1993 to 1997. He worked in various scientific institutes of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR and Russia from 1977 to 1993. Mr. Tsikanov holds doctorate in economics and professorship.

Victor A. Trigubko

Senior Vice President - Government Relations

Victor A. Trigubko is Senior Vice President for Government Relations of Mechel OAO from August 2006.  Since 2005 Mr. Trigubko has held the position of Vice President for Government Relations.  In 2003-2005 Mr. Trigubko was Mechel OAO Vice President for Representation in Central and Eastern Europe, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mechel Campia Turzii and Member of the Board of Directors of Mechel Targoviste. Working in this position, Mr. Trigubko achieved significant extension and strengthening of Mechel’s cooperation with the European partners and actively contributed to Mechel’s acquisition of new assets. In 2002-2003 Mr. Trigubko was Director of Mechel Trading AG Representative Office in Romania. In 1997-2002 Mr. Trigubko headed Izhstal OAO Representative Office in Moscow. In 1992-1997 Mr. Trigubko held executive positions with the metallurgical company, Unibros Steel Co. LTD, with his last position there being Deputy General Director. Mr. Trigubko graduated from the Kalinin (now Tver)  State University, Economic Faculty, in 1982. Upon his graduation Mr. Trigubko worked in the Foreign Relations Department of the USSR State Committee for Labor and Social Issues and then in the USSR Trade Representation in Romania.

Stanislav A. Ploschenko

Chief Financial Officer

Stanislav Ploschenko is our Chief Financial Officer. Previously he held the position of Acting Chief Financial Officer from June 2007 to January 2008. Before he served as Mechel’s Deputy CFO and Deputy Treasurer for Corporate Lending from June 2006 to June 2007. From 2001 to 2006 he held a number of senior positions at Commerzbank AG and Commerzbank (Eurasija) SAO. The last position was the Head of Metal and Mining Industries Group, Corporate Clients Department, Commerzbank (Eurasija) SAO. From 1995 to 1996 Stanislav Ploschenko worked as an auditor for Bank's Audit Service LLC. Mr. Ploschenko holds an MSc in International Securities Investment & Banking from the ISMA Centre at the University of Reading, a BA in International Finance & Trade from the University of Portsmouth (UK) and a Specialist Diploma in International Economics from The Finance Academy under the Government of the Russian Federation.

Andrey D. Deineko

Steel Division Director

Andrey D. Deineko is our Steel Division Director. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Deineko held the position of Director of the Department of Industry in the Russian Ministry of Industry and Energy from 2005 to 2007, having been Deputy Director of this Department from 2004 to 2005. He was Director of the Department of Industrial and Innovative Policy in the Russian Ministry of Industry and Science from 2002 to 2004. From 1999 to 2002, he was Deputy General Director of Oskol Electrometallurgical Plant OAO. He held the position of Deputy General Director of INTERFIN Interbank Investment and Finance Company ZAO from 1998 to 1999 and Director of Supply Division of Zapad-Elite ZAO from 1997 to 1998. From 1976 to 1997, he was engineer, senior engineer, senior researcher, laboratory head, Department Head, and Deputy Director at the Bardin Central Scientific and Research Institute of Ferrous Metallurgy. He has been awarded the title of Honorable Metallurgist. Mr. Deineko graduated from the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys with the specialty of Engineer of Metallurgy, and obtained his post-graduate degree in technical sciences from the same institute.

Boris G. Nikishichev

Mining director

Boris G. Nikishichev is our Mining Director. He has held this position since February 2007. Before he was the Senior Vice President–Mining îf our company from February 2005. In total, Mr. Nikishichev has over 35 years of experience in the mining industry. From 2004 until February 2005 he served as Deputy General Director of Raspadskaya Coal Company ZAO. From 1998 to 2004 he held the position of First Vice President in Sokolovskaya Holding Company; additionally, from 1999 to 2004, he was also First Vice President of the Mining Industrialists of Russia, a non-commercial partnership. From 1993 to 1999, Mr. Nikishichev was Deputy General Director for Long-Term Development and Capital Construction, Vice President/Director for Restructuring of Coal Production in Russian Coal Company ZAO. From 1991 to 1993 he served as First Deputy President of the Management Board, Russia's Coal Corporation. From 1970 to 1990, Mr. Nikishichev held various executive positions at YuzhKuzbassUgol United Coal Mining Company. He graduated from the Siberian Metallurgical Institute with a degree in mining electrical engineering. Mr. Nikishichev also holds a doctorate in mining production from the Moscow State Mining University.
