

Evgeny V. Mikhel Chief Executive Officer
Evgeny Mikhel is our Chief Executive Officer from July, 2010. Prior to this appointment Mr. Mikhel worked as the First Deputy CEO of Mechel OAO from April, 2009. Before that, from September, 2007 he served as Mechel OAO’s Vice-President for Legal Matters and Director of the Legal Department. Earlier, since July, 2003 he was Director of the Department of Judicial Protection and Legal Regulation of Mechel OAO. Since July, 2002 he was Director of the Legal Department of Mechel Trading House OOO. Starting from October 2000 Evgeny Mikhel worked as Head of the Department of Litigation and Enforcement of Court Orders of Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant. He graduated from the Urals State Law Academy.
Stanislav A. Ploschenko Chief Financial Officer
Stanislav Ploschenko is our Chief Financial Officer. Previously he held the position of Acting Chief Financial Officer from June 2007 to January 2008. Before he served as Mechel’s Deputy CFO and Deputy Treasurer for Corporate Lending from June 2006 to June 2007. From 2001 to 2006 he held a number of senior positions at Commerzbank AG and Commerzbank (Eurasija) SAO. The last position was the Head of Metal and Mining Industries Group, Corporate Clients Department, Commerzbank (Eurasija) SAO. From 1995 to 1996 Stanislav Ploschenko worked as an auditor for Bank's Audit Service LLC. Mr. Ploschenko holds an MSc in International Securities Investment & Banking from the ISMA Centre at the University of Reading, a BA in International Finance & Trade from the University of Portsmouth (UK) and a Specialist Diploma in International Economics from The Finance Academy under the Government of the Russian Federation.
Victor A. Trigubko Senior Vice President - Government Relations
Victor A. Trigubko has been Mechel’s Senior Vice President — Government Relations since August 2006. Before then, in 2002-2006, he was our Vice President, Mechel OAO’s Representative in Central and Eastern Europe, Director of Mechel International Holdings AG’s representative office in Romania, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mechel Campia Turzii and a member of the Board of Directors of Mechel Targoviste.
From 1997 to 2002, he was Head of Izhstal’s representative office in Moscow. From 1992 to 1997, he held executive positions in the metallurgical company Unibros Steel Co. LTD, as director of its Moscow representative office, its representative office in India and Deputy General Director. Mr. Trigubko also worked in the USSR State Committee for Labor and Social Issues, the USSR Ministry of External Economic Relations and in the USSR Trade Representation Office in Romania.
Mr. Trigubko has more than 20 years of experience in the sphere of foreign economic relations, has a degree in economics. Since 2008 he has been Chairman of the Russian Business Council on Cooperation with Lithuania at the Russian Federation’s Trade and Industry Chamber and Chairman of the Business Council on Cooperation with Romania since 2010.
Elena V. Selivanova Vice-president for Human Resources and Social Politics
Elena Selivanova is Vice-president for Human Resources and Social Politics of OAO Mechel. Since January 2007 she was Director of Human Resources Department of Mechel OAO. From 2004 to 2006, Ms. Selivanova held the position of Executive Director for Human Resources of Volgotanker Company. She also was a member of Board of Directors at the company. From 2002 to 2004, Ms. Selivanova was Director of the Department for Organizational Development and Personnel Management of Firma Omega-97 OOO. From 1999 to 2002, Ms. Selivanova was Head of the Personnel Service at Vympel-Communications OAO. From 1998 to 1999 she was Personnel Manager at Bakster Export Corp. Representative Office. Ms. Selivanova graduated from the Moscow State Cultural Institute. She had her post-graduate degree in the Higher Psychology College. Ms. Selivanova is a member of Expert Council of Personnel Specialists Association.
Mikhail L. UrvantsevVice-president for Commercial Activities
Mikhail Urvantsev is our company’s Vice-President for Commercial Activities starting in April 2011. Before, in 2009 Mr. Urvantsev was general director of UMZ OOO, the official representative of Ukraine-based Energomashspetsstal OAO in Russia. In 2006-2009, he was general director of Ukrainian Machine-Building Plants Trading House OOO. In 2005-2006, Mr. Urvantsev was commercial director of Industrial-Metallurgical Holding Management Company OOO. In 2004-2005, Mr. Urvantsev was general director of Mechel Trading House OOO, and in 2004 he headed the supply department of Mechel Steel Group OAO. In 2002-2004, he was deputy general director of Mechel Trading House OOO. In 2001-2002, Mr. Urvantsev was commercial director of Beloretsk Metallurgical Plant OAO. In 2000-2001, he headed the coal and coke chemical sales department in Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant OAO.
Mikhail Urvantsev graduated Moscow Commercial University with the specialty in economics and organization.
Oleg V. Korzhov Senior Vice-President for Economics and Management
Oleg Korzhov is Mechel OAO’s Senior Vice-President for Economics and Management. From April 2009 to October 2011, he has been Mechel OAO’s Vice-President for Business Planning and Analysis. From July 2008 to April 2009, he was Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Economy and Finance of Mechel Management Company OOO. From February 2006 to July 2008, he was Economic Planning Director at Mechel Management Company OOO, and held the same position in Mechel OAO from September 2005 to January 2006. In 2003-2005, Mr Korzhov was Director for Finance and Economy at Evrazholding OOO’s Nizhny Tagil Metallurgical Plant. In 1998-2003, he was at first Deputy Head of Economy Department in charge of analysis and prices at Nizhny Tagil Metallurgical Plant and was then promoted to Head of Economy Department. In April-November 1998 he was Executive Officer at the plant’s subsidiary Nikoremstroy OAO. He was Nikoremstroy OAO’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Economy since 1996. In 1993-1996 he worked in various positions at Nizhny Tagil Metallurgical Plant, with the latest position as Head of the plant’s Finance and Economy Bureau.
Mr. Korzhov graduated from Urals Polytechnic Institute with a degree in economics and management in metallurgy. He also undertook a post-graduate degree in general management from the Academy of National Economy and has earned a Ph.D in Economics.
Andrey D. DeinekoVice-President for Technology Development
Andrey D. Deineko is Mechel OAO’s Vice-President for Technology Development. Previously from 2007 till September 2012 he acted as Chief Executive Officer of Mechel-Steel Management OOO. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Deineko held the position of Director of the Department of Industry in the Russian Ministry of Industry and Energy from 2005 to 2007, having been Deputy Director of this Department from 2004 to 2005. He was Director of the Department of Industrial and Innovative Policy in the Russian Ministry of Industry and Science from 2002 to 2004. From 1999 to 2002, he was Deputy General Director of Oskol Electrometallurgical Plant OAO. He held the position of Deputy General Director of INTERFIN Interbank Investment and Finance Company ZAO from 1998 to 1999 and Director of Supply Division of Zapad-Elite ZAO from 1997 to 1998. From 1976 to 1997, he was engineer, senior engineer, senior researcher, laboratory head, Department Head, and Deputy Director at the Bardin Central Scientific and Research Institute of Ferrous Metallurgy. He has been awarded the title of Honorable Metallurgist. Mr. Deineko graduated from the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys with the specialty of Engineer of Metallurgy, and obtained his post-graduate degree in technical sciences from the same institute.
Andrey V. KocherovVice-President for Public and Investor Relations
Andrey Kocherov is Mechel OAO’s Vice-President for Public and Investor Relations. Prior to his appointment, since January 2011 Mr. Kocherov headed the communications department of Alfa-Group Consortium’s A1 investment company. Before that, since November 2009 he was head of Uralkali OJSC’s external communications department. In 2007-2009, he was department chief at Uralchem Holding P.L.C. In 2007, he worked as chief executive officer’s deputy for public relations in Renova Group’s Energoprom Management company. In 2000-2007, he worked in Sibirsky Aluminium Group, later transformed into Basic Element, and its structures in various capacities, including head of the company’s press-service and head of its public relations department. In 1999-2000, he worked in Itera oil and gas company’s information and analytics department. In 1997-1998, he was press secretary to the chairman of Russian State Duma’s under-committee for fuel resources. Mr. Kocherov graduated from Russian Defense Ministry’s Military University with a degree in foreign military information and journalism.
