Urals Stampings Plant Confirms Compliance with International Production Standards

Urals Stampings Plant (Uralkuz PAO, part of Mechel Group, MOEX: URKZ) confirmed its quality management systems compliance with the international ISO 9001:2008 standard. Supervision audit was held by experts of the leading global certifier TUV Rheinland.

Independent experts meticulously analyzed the plant’s quality management system and examined the practical application of existing norms and standards. The plant’s top management, workshop chiefs and heads of technical control departments reported on their work. The audit demonstrated that Uralkuz’s quality management system is efficient and compliant with international standards. The auditors noted that the plant is client-oriented, while its current quality policy urges all personnel to constantly contribute to the quality control system’s improvement.

Urals Stampings Plant has first been certified with ISO compliance in 1995. The plant earned its current certificate in 2015, for a period of three years with mandatory annual supervision audits to confirm its validity. The certified quality management system enables the plant to produce domestically marketed products for aviation, space and nuclear industries, as well as other sectors where component quality is of particular importance.
