Urals Stampings Plant Confirms Producer Status for Aviation Industry

Urals Stampings Plant (Uralkuz PAO, part of Mechel Group, MOEX: URKZ) confirmed its certificate for production of components for the aviation industry. Independent experts gave their approval following a supervisory audit involving all key technological processes.

The audit was conducted by experts from Interstate Aviation Committee’s aviation register and the State Regional Centre of Standardization, Metrology and Certification. They examined the plant’s quality management system, technological processes involved in producing airborne components, the products’ compliance with the requirements. The auditors also inspected the plant’s test labs and confirmed Uralkuz’s metrological equipment’s compliance with the IAC’s regulations.

Uralkuz first had its airborne components production certified in 2000. Every three years the plant undergoes re-certification audits, as well as annual supervisory audits for compliance of airborne materials production with IAC standards.

Urals Stampings Plant is a traditional supplier of airborne components. The plant produces turbine disks, thrusts, bearing supports and other kinds of stampings from titanium alloys, corrosion- and heat-resistant steels and alloys, carbon and alloyed steels for practically all leading Russian aviation industry producers.
