Mechel PAO is a vertically integrated company. Mechel is the core company with subsidiaries and dependents, which together with their affiliates form a holding, also named Mechel.

Mechel’s Board of Directors determines the company’s strategy. Enterprises whose assets are consolidated within Mechel PAO, work under operational administration of managing companies, differentiated as the Group’s chief business segments.

Two key segments are mining, which includes producers of coal, iron ore concentrate and coke, and steel, which includes facilities producing and processing steel and its alloys. The third one is power, which includes heat and electricity producers.

The mining segment is administered by the Mechel Mining managing company, the steel segment is administered by Mechel-Steel managing company, and the power segment is managed by Mechel-Energo. Managing directors head the production assets.
